Connections

Play - Engage your children in a game of “I Spy.” You spy something connected to something else. State what you see and have children fill in the blank with what the item is adjoined.

Examples:  I spy a flag connected to a (flagpole)I spy a leaf connected to a (tree). I spy a baby in a stroller connected to (her mother).

Talk - Discuss the connections. For example, ask why the flag needs a flagpole (to hold it up), why a leaf needs a tree (to make it grow), and why a baby needs a mother to push the stroller (to make it go; to keep the baby safe).

Pray - Dear God, we know You love us and that we are connected to You.  We need You to hold on to us, to make us grow, and to keep us safe (1 John 4:16).
