Super Hero

Play Engage your children in a guessing game.  One describes what his favorite super hero can do (Example: fly); another guesses who it is (Example:  Superman).  Take turns giving clues and guessing.

Talk - Discuss how super heroes and humans differ.  Explain that God is the ultimate super hero, having all power and grace (special favor), and that we can call on Him for help when needed.  Ask your children about times they feel weak.  Assure them that everyone feels weak sometimes and that it’s okay to talk about it. Encourage them to pray when they feel weak, trusting God to give them the power to do what they need to do.  Then they can brag about it!

Pray - Dear God, sometimes I feel weak when I (insert child’s need), but I know you are strong.  Thank you for giving me power when I need it (2 Corinthians 12:9).
